About Our Senior Primary

Senior primary education, is typically designed for students between the ages of 11 and 13. The purpose of senior primary education is to build on the foundational skills and knowledge acquired during earlier primary education years and prepare students for more advanced learning in secondary education.

Some of the specific purposes of senior primary education include:

  1. Developing critical thinking skills: Senior primary education is aimed at developing students’ ability to analyse information critically and solve complex problems. This is important for their success in secondary education and in their future careers.
  2. Fostering social and emotional development: Senior primary education also focuses on the social and emotional development of students, helping them develop self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  3. Strengthening subject-specific knowledge: Senior primary education builds on the foundational knowledge of subjects such as mathematics, science, language, and social studies, deepening students’ understanding of these topics.
  4. Preparing for secondary education: Senior primary education is often designed to prepare students for the rigors of secondary education. It introduces them to more advanced topics and concepts, helping them make a smooth transition to secondary school.

Overall, the purpose of senior primary education is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to succeed in their academic and personal lives, and to prepare them for the challenges of secondary education and beyond.
