KING’S CONNECT – 09/2024

| This term our Biblical worldview focus will be on STEWARDSHIP. This theme will help us know God and be restored in harmony with creation. 1 Jn 1:9 ‘But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. We will be helping our children to understand what it means to be faithful, obedient as well as the benefits of being diligent, orderly, resourceful, creative, responsible, and how to be thrifty. These are qualities are sorely lacking in our modern, consumer driven society. We struggle to accept the fact that God is faithful and that always has our best interests at heart. God is sovereign over His creation and sustains it for His glory and purposes. God bless! Dear Parents,
As we enter the last term of the academic year, it’s a time for reflection, celebration, and anticipation.
For our pupils, this term marks the culmination of your efforts, the chance to apply all the knowledge and skills you’ve acquired throughout the year, and an opportunity to make lasting memories with your classmates.
To our teachers and staff, thank you for your dedication and hard work throughout the year. Your guidance and support have been instrumental in our pupils’ growth and achievements.
EXTRA MURAL ROSTER
Please see attached the extracurricular program for Term 4 – 2024. Note that we are not participating in any friendly leagues this term.
IMPORTANT DATES AND EVENTS
15 October Cultural Evening
On this occasion we will display the arts and cultural side of the school. Some of our students are attending the music school – piano and guitar as well as participating in the school choir. We also have a few of our girls’ doing ballet.
Come along and support and encourage their talent.
2 November : ECD Sports Day.
Come along and enjoy a fulfilled morning with your children here at the school. More detail to follow from the Gr RRR – Gr R teachers.
5 November : Awards Evening
King’s School Awards Evening for Gr 1 – 7 will take place in the school hall at 6:30 pm.
At the Awards evening, we wish to celebrate the achievements of our pupils. We also acknowledge the children’s character development. Scripture says even a child is known by his actions [Pro 20:11]
Exams (Gr 4 – 7)
The formal, final exams for Gr 7s will start on the 11 November 2024.
The Gr 4 – 6s will start on the 14 November 2024 and will dismiss at 1:00 pm from 14 November 2024.
22 November – Orientation Hour
Orientation morning. The learners spend an hour with their 2025 – teachers. This is only for the children and takes place during the course of the morning.
27 November – Events

- Gr 7 Farewell (more info to follow)
29 November – Night Festival
Our annual Night Festival takes place. You would have received a note in this regard. Your assistance is vital in the success of this evening. More information will be communicated over the next few weeks.
3 December : School closes
School closes at 11:00 am for the learners and reports will be issued on this day.
As we approach the final stretch, let’s remember to support and uplift one another. Let’s create an environment of positivity, collaboration, and determination.
Let’s make this last term memorable, enjoyable, and successful.
